I. Electrical Engineering Courses

A. ELEE 2319 Numerical Computation

  1. ELEE 1221 is an acceptable substitute
  2. ENGR 1221 is an acceptable substitute
  3. MECE 1221 is an acceptable substitute only if you took it during or before Fall 2000.
  4. Engineering Graphics is an acceptable substitute for students transferring from the pre-Engineering program as STCC.

B. ELEE 4328 Solid State

  1. ELEE 3328 is an acceptable substitute

C. ELEE 4351 Communications

  1. ELEE 3351 is an acceptable substitute

D. ELEE 3435 Microprocessors

  1. ELEE 2435 is an acceptable substitute

II. General Engineering Courses

A. ENGR 1101 Introduction to Engineering

  1. Students who have already completed a 2 yr associates program in a technical area may substitute an additional EE technical elective.
  2. Under some circumstances, transfer students who completed a 2 yr program in an area closely related to electrical engineering may have the ENGR 1101 requirement waived.

III. Mechanical Engineering Courses

A. MECE 2405 Engineering Mechanics

  1. ENGR 2405 is an acceptable substitute
  2. The combination MECE 2303 + MECE 2304 is an acceptable substitute
  3. The combination ENGR 2303 + ENGR 2304 is an acceptable substitute
  4. The combination of Statics + Dynamics taken at the STCC pre-Engineering program is an acceptable substitute.

IV. Computer Science Courses

A. CSCI 1380 Computer Science I

  1. Generally, higher level CSCI courses are acceptable substitutes as long as they are 3 hour courses and are approved by the CSCI department as satisfying the University core requirement. Please get approval from both the EE and CSCI departments before taking an alternate CSCI course.

V. Mathematics Courses

A. MATH 2346 Math for Electrical Engineers

  1. CHEM 1302/1102 is an acceptable substitute for students who took CHEM 1302/1102 during or prior to Fall 2001.
