Jun Peng received his PhD
degree from the Electrical, Computer, and
Systems Engineering Department of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI),
Troy, NY in 2004 and currently is an assistant professor at the Electrical
Engineering Department of University of Texas - Pan American. Before
he
joined UTPA, he was a postdoctoral research associate at the Computer
Science and Engineering Department of Lehigh University, Bethlehem,
PA. Dr. Peng's research interests are in computer communication networks and embedded
wireless networks. Particular
topics include medium
access control, congestion control, error control,
routing, and security.

Research
Jun Peng worked on several projects on medium
access control, congestion control, error control, and protocol design and
analysis. He published
in these areas in referred conferences and
journals. He has recently been working on medium access control,
broadcasting control, and security
in wireless networks.
