Jun Peng received his PhD degree from the Electrical, Computer, and Systems Engineering Department of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Troy, NY in 2004 and currently is an assistant professor at the Electrical Engineering Department of University of Texas - Pan American. Before he joined UTPA, he was a postdoctoral research associate at the Computer Science and Engineering Department of Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA. Dr. Peng's research interests are in computer communication networks and embedded wireless networks. Particular topics include medium access control, congestion control, error control, routing, and security.

Research

Jun Peng  worked on several projects on medium access control, congestion control, error control, and protocol design and analysis. He published in these areas in referred conferences and journals.  He has recently been working on medium access control, broadcasting control, and security in wireless networks.
